I'm just a dedicated high school cross country and track runner. I also love random funny pictures and inspirational quotes that can make someone's day. :D

How do you take photos like these? phosphorescentt, do you know?
photos by (click pic) max slastnikov, elmar akhmetov, anton jankovoy, arno balzarini, dave morrow, stephane vetter, miloslav druckmuller (showing the large and small magellanic clouds and comet mcnaught) and leif erik smith (see also: previous astrophotography)
Long exposure, probably! In a place where the only light source is the sky, set up your camera on a tripod or someplace steady, set the camera so the shutter stays open for a long time, be very very still, and press the button (or use a remote). The longer the shutter stays open, the more light is allowed into the camera to expose the image, letting you see the brightest parts of the sky.

The sunset last night was incredible. Always enjoy a heavy pack and racing up a steep peak to catch the last light in the mountains.
